Please read these terms carefully. By booking or attending classes with Waraqa, you agree to the policies described below.
1. Overview
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of Waraqa's online Islamic education services, including Quran recitation, Quran memorisation, Arabic language, and Islamic Studies classes. By booking or attending classes with Waraqa, you agree to the terms below. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to contact us — we are here to help.
2. Class Cancellations
We understand that life happens. Our cancellation policy is designed to give students flexibility while being fair to our teachers, who prepare for every session.
How to cancel
All cancellation requests must be sent to the WhatsApp group at least 3 hours before the lesson start time. Requests made through any other channel, or after the 3-hour window, will not be counted as valid cancellations for rescheduling purposes.
Cancellation limits
To keep the programme fair for everyone, we limit how many classes can be rescheduled each month:
You may reschedule up to 25% of your total registered monthly hours. Any cancellations beyond that threshold will not carry a rescheduling credit.
Example: If you are registered for 8 hours per month and cancel 2 hours, you receive credit for 1 hour (25% of 8). The second cancelled hour exceeds the 25% limit and is not eligible for rescheduling.
We ask all students and guardians to plan ahead and keep cancellations to a minimum so that teachers' schedules remain stable and other students can benefit from available slots.
Teacher cancellations
If a teacher needs to cancel a lesson, students will not be charged for that session, and the class will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.
3. Goodwill Waivers for Technical or Exceptional Circumstances
We recognise that unexpected issues — such as internet outages, power cuts, or other genuine technical difficulties — can disrupt a lesson through no fault of the student. Although these situations are rare, if something like this affects you, simply let the administration know as soon as possible. We will review the situation and, at our discretion, waive the missed session so it does not count against your cancellation allowance. We do not want anyone to be penalised for circumstances outside their control.
4. Class Pauses
If you need to pause your classes temporarily — for travel, exams, health, or any other reason — please contact the administration in advance. We will hold your place and pause your schedule accordingly.
Refunds may be issued for classes that have been paid for but not yet attended, provided a pause or cancellation request is made before those classes take place. Refunds are not issued for classes that were attended or that fell within a valid cancellation window where the student did not notify us.
5. No-Shows
If you do not attend a lesson and have not notified us within the required time, our teacher will have prepared and waited for you. In such cases, the full fee for that session remains payable in accordance with your payment schedule.
6. Payments
Payments are due in advance of each monthly cycle, as agreed when you enrol. Continued enrolment is subject to timely payment. If you have any difficulties, please reach out to us early — we will always try to find a workable solution.
7. Complaints
We take every concern seriously. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your experience at Waraqa — whether about a lesson, a teacher, scheduling, or anything else — please contact the administration directly. We commit to handling all complaints promptly and fairly, and we genuinely want every student's experience to be a positive one.
8. Changes to These Terms
Waraqa reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any material changes will be communicated to active students. Continued participation in our classes following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
